Puppy Deposit & Sales Agreement
1. Purpose of Deposit
- A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy.
- The deposit secures your place in the current or upcoming litter.
- Deposits are applied toward the final purchase price.
- Final purchase price varies based on gender, lineage, and rarity of color.
2. Reservation Details
- Gender preference may be indicated (Male, Female, or First Available).
- Color preference may be indicated, but color availability is not guaranteed.
- Purchase Type must be specified as Pet Only or Breeding Rights.
3. Payment Terms
- Final payment must be made in cleared funds prior to pickup or delivery.
- Accepted payment methods include cash, cashier’s check, or approved electronic payment.
- If payment is not received by the agreed date, the buyer forfeits the deposit and reservation.
4. Pickup Policy
Puppies must be picked up no later than 10 weeks of age, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Boarding after the pickup deadline will be charged at $150 per week.
Failure to pick up within 14 days of the agreed date without prior arrangement will result in forfeiture of the deposit and puppy.
5. If a Puppy Becomes Unavailable
If the reserved puppy becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the buyer may choose:
A full refund of the deposit, or
Transfer of the deposit to another litter.
6. Breeding Rights
- Pet Only: Puppy must be spayed/neutered by 12 months of age with proof provided.
- Breeding Rights: Buyer agrees to responsible breeding practices and proper health checks.
- Unauthorized breeding under Pet Only status will result in a $5,000 liquidated damages fee, immediate loss of any health guarantees, and possible legal action.
7. Health Guarantee & Vet Inspection
- Puppies are sold healthy, with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming.
- Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup or delivery.
- If a life-threatening genetic defect is found within 72 hours, the buyer may return the puppy for a refund or exchange (veterinary documentation required).
- Failure to complete the veterinary exam within 72 hours voids the health guarantee.
8. Ongoing Health Guarantee
One-year genetic health guarantee for life-threatening hereditary conditions.
Replacement puppy will be offered if the condition is confirmed by a licensed veterinarian.
Guarantee is void if the puppy is abused, neglected, underfed, or receives improper veterinary care.
9. Return Policy
If the buyer cannot keep the puppy, the seller must be notified immediately.
Puppy must be returned at the buyer’s expense.
No refunds after 72 hours unless otherwise agreed.
Puppy may not be resold, rehomed, or surrendered to a shelter without the seller’s written consent.
10. Transportation / Shipping
Buyer is responsible for all transportation arrangements and costs, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Risk of loss transfers to the buyer once the puppy is picked up by the buyer or their authorized agent.
11. Care & Welfare

12. Legal Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. All disputes will be resolved in the seller’s county. The buyer agrees to pay all legal fees incurred by the seller in enforcing this agreement.
By placing a deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Puppy Deposit & Sales Agreement.
